I Spy

I was cleaning out my work computer today and found several pictures of the I Spy quilt I did for my niece, Alissa.

Quilt is Twin Size, completed October 2002.

The pattern shapes are very simple.  A hexagon and a Triangle.  Most of the patterns call for the triangles to be all the same color.  I wanted Alissa’s to be extra special so for several of the blocks I outlined them in Pink.  A little tricky to make sure you have everything pieced properly, but well work the effort.

Tips on Fussy Cutting

It helps to put skids or sand paper dots on the bottom of your acrylic rulers or templates.  This helps to prevent things from shifting while you cut.  Center the weight of your hand with your fingers instead of your palm.  That way you can just increase the pressure slightly and rotate to your next cutting position.
